City of SISTERLY love?🤣

We’re having a great time in Philadelphia, the “city of brotherly love.” It’s a city, so it’s big and overwhelming for us, but we’ve had fun and met a lot of very nice people.

And I’ve always enjoyed the reminder that love and kindness really do make a difference.

1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭13‬ ‭says, “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.”

‭‭

Charity (love) is the greatest. Why?

Faith, hope, and love are at the core of Christianity, and maybe one reason love is said to be the greatest is that it will continue into eternity.

For now we see by faith. And for now, what’s to come gives us hope.

But even when faith has become sight and we see our hope become permanent reality, love will still remain.

A big part of heaven on earth is to do everything we do with love. That never means approving of what the Bible says is wrong, but it does mean every choice we make and every word we say should be motivated by love, by what’s best for others.
