Definitely not the only Baptist church in Chambersburg!
The addresses on random mail can be amusing, and I’m sure glad we aren’t the only good Bible-teaching church around.
For a while in the New Testament, saved Jews thought they were the only Christians around. Peter was glad to find out they were wrong.
Acts 10:34-35 says, “Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: but in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.”
“God is no respecter of persons” means anyone can be saved, but we do all need to be saved.
One of the most dangerous things to think is “God loves me, so He will accept me for who I am.”
Yes God loves you, but He cannot and will not ignore or tolerate sin.
Yes God loves you; that’s why Jesus came to earth, died on the cross for your sins, and rose again.
God doesn’t accept anyone for who they are, but God is eager to accept everyone for who they become when Jesus forgives them and makes them new.
