To many people, the Florida Gators men’s basketball team wasn’t supposed to win. Zero top-100 recruits and yet they cut down the net last night after winning the championship! Walter Clayton Jr. (in the picture) was a superstar in the tournament, but out of high school he was known as a football player who wouldn’t succeed on the basketball court.
What people say about us doesn’t have to define us, but what God thinks about us certainly should fill our lives, guide our lives, and direct our lives. And it’s amazing that God would take time to think about us!
Psalm 40:5 says, “Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.”
Verse 17 adds, “But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.”
God takes time to think about us. Will we take time to think about Him? Will we let Him remind us of who we are and especially who we can be with Him in our lives?
