Are you looking forward tomorrow?

We’re excited to get our 2 new apple trees planted! It’ll may a while for them to start producing, but we’re looking forward to what’s coming.

Can you say that about your future: Are you looking forward to what’s coming? The Bible makes it clear that we can.

Proverbs‬ ‭11‬:‭6‬-‭8‬ ‭ says, “The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: But transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness. When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: And the hope of unjust men perisheth. The righteous is delivered out of trouble, And the wicked cometh in his stead.”

Righteousness leads to future hope. When we’ve been forgiven of our sins and saved, God looks at us and sees Jesus’ righteousness, not our mistakes.

Sin leads to dread of getting caught and dread of consequences, but God offers forgiveness and opportunities to grow when we, as His children, do sin.

A relationship with Jesus should make us look forward to the future. We can look forward to eternity with Him, but He promises to be with us tomorrow as well.
