Something to get excited about

Go Gators! On to the Elite Eight for men’s basketball! I still say no one can beat them if they play their best (and stop turning the ball over so much!)

Maybe you couldn’t care less about basketball, but some things should excite us all!

In Luke 15, Jesus uses 3 illustrations to show how exciting it is when a person comes to Him: a lost sheep, a lost coin, and a lost (prodigal) son.

Here are a few of those verses that highlight how important just one soul is to Jesus: “7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.”

“10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.”

“32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.”

A person passing from death to life spiritually deserves special excitement!

And a person enjoying life with Christ is something to be excited about.

If we are safe in Jesus, we should be excited enough to reach out to those who aren’t.
