We all had a very good day, but this is about how much energy we had this morning. Ironically we looked at a beautiful rainbow just after this.
I’m glad we can choose to enjoy each day (even when we’re tired and feel kinda blah). We don’t have to be “just okay.”
And that’s true in our relationship with God as well.
Maybe we’ve all thought things like, “I hope God is okay with me.” “I hope this is okay with God.” Or “I hope God isn’t mad at me for doing this.”
But Psalm 37 offers a better option than wondering if God approves of us. It tells us how to live a life that delights God.
Verse 4 says, “Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”
We need to delight in what God says is best, and when we do, God delights in what we do. Verse 23 says, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.”
