Do you think our garden is ready? Definitely not! We aren’t planting anything just yet and have a lot of work to do before we do. Temperature, weather, bugs, and other things may be out of our control, but we’ll do what we can to prepare for a good harvest.
Luke 10:1 says, “After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.”
They weren’t supposed to figure it out on their own. They went where Jesus was also going to come.
God was no doubt already working on those people’s hearts ahead of time as well.
In 1 Corinthians 3:6, Paul said, “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.” Who planted? Who watered? Who cares! God gave the increase and they got to be a part of it.
Maybe you’re planting seeds of truth. Maybe you’re doing more watering of the seeds that others planted. But at the end of the day, it’s about God giving the increase as we see lives changed.
