So quiet we could hear it snow

It was a bit nostalgic standing out in the snow by the Capitol Theater after the girls’ final Nutcracker Ballet show.  It felt like a small town with no cars rushing by and the classic old theater.

Do you wish for the “good old days” ever? That can be a good thing and a bad thing.

Isaiah 43:18-19 says, “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

It’s important to remember the past and even honor the past. But let’s never let the past stop us from moving forward into the new that God has for us.

Philippians 3:14 says, “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

Let’s preserve the good that God has already done as we press on into the good God is going to do.
