Can you relate?

I’m very proud of the girls doing so well in the Nutcracker Ballet over the weekend. But picking them up from practice does make me feel little out of my element sometimes. I’m glad to go get them, but it’s really not my world apart from the girls. The challenges and experience are things I can’t really relate to firsthand.

Hebrews‬ ‭2‬:‭17‬-‭18‬ ‭says, “Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.”

Jesus has been here on earth. He can relate to where you’re at and what you’re going through. And He cares…perfectly. He is perfectly sinless but able to offer perfect hope for sinners like us.

John 1:14 says this about Jesus: “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
