I love snow! First snow of the winter, and it’s still fall!
Maybe you disagree about snow. That’s ok. We won’t ever agree on everything, but we can still learn from each other. In fact, if we’re fighting over who’s right, we’re probably all wrong.
1 Corinthians 1:10 says, “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”
We might not all agree about everything, but we should all agree about Jesus.
Verses 22-23 speak right into the confusion and fighting that was going on 2,000 years ago (and in many ways continues still today): “For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: but we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;”
1 Corinthians 2:16 describes the goal this way: “But we have the mind of Christ.”
We should be able to say we have the mind of Christ on our good days and bad days, when everyone’s getting along with us and when no one is.
