Where were you on 9/11?

I was in this classroom in PA when my 11th grade class first heard what was going on. Our teacher wheeled a TV into the room, and we watched the local news report.

My heart still goes out to each family who lost a loved one. It still makes me proud to be an American when I think of the men and women who responded and saved lives all while risking their own.

We remember. We don’t move on, but we do move ahead, taking our memories and motivation with us.

James 1:2-3 says, “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.”

It can take a lot of effort (and a lot of help from God) to be joyful sometimes, but there is a way forward. With God growth is possible even through tragedy.
