Stir it up

I’ve recently seen a couple videos showing how you can mix salt and sugar together, add water, and get fake snow.

So we tried it.

And it works…as long as you also add the the “secret ingredient” of snow powder!

Ezra‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬ and 3 says, “Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying, 3 Who is there among you of all his people? his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel, (he is the God,) which is in Jerusalem.”

Maybe you’ve felt “stirred up” to do something for God but haven’t gotten anywhere because you tried to do it on your own. Cyrus knew God would need to go with the Jews who returned to rebuild Jerusalem.

Maybe you’ve struggled to get a project off the ground. Maybe you’re struggling with your thought life, anger, bitterness, or simply continuing on for Jesus.

Stay stirred up. Keep the vision alive. But don’t forget the key ingredient: Gods help. Maybe we need to spend more time asking God to help us and less time exhausting ourselves trying to do it on our own.
