This carwash sign has always reminded me of the Krispy Kreme hot sign! Maybe just wishful thinking, but I get hungry for a donut every time I see it!
That carwash just has a nice lighted sign, but sometimes we need to be distinctly different instead of looking like something we’re not.
Ephesians 5:3-4 and 7-8 says, “But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; 4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them. 8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:”
If Jesus had saved us and forgiven our sins, we shouldn’t see how close to sin we can get or how much like the world we can act.
We shouldn’t tolerate any of it in our lives. We shouldn’t joke about sin, make light of sin, or allow ourselves to be influenced by people living in sin (no one’s perfect, but there’s a difference when someone has trusted Jesus and is at least trying to live for Jesus).
It should be obvious that we love Jesus and want to live for Him.
