Nothing rare or super exciting about laundry to put away or picking the girls up from ballet. Those are things we do all the time (ok, Jen puts away most of the laundry, but I helped with those socks at least!)
Sometimes we have special experiences and big moments, but a lot of life is simply the normal times. I think that means we need to make sure we use those every-day normal opportunities well.
1 Corinthians 4:2 says, “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”
Stewards take care of someone else’s stuff, and that’s us! Everything belongs to God, but He gives us opportunities to use His stuff. Faithfulness is a reasonable expectation.
Most days will probably be normal. Nothing flashy. Nothing special, at least nothing immediately obvious as being special. Normal. Blessed by God. Opportunities available. But normal.
Our lives are often defined not by big moments but by what we do on normal days.
