It certainly took long enough to get our truck tagged and registered in PA and able to be driven again, but praise God IT’S DONE! Sometimes during frustrating or discouraging times it seems like things will never work out, but with God restoration and progress are possible. In fact, He’s constantly planning ahead for us.
Ezekiel 40:1 says, “In the five and twentieth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was smitten, in the selfsame day the hand of the LORD was upon me, and brought me thither.”
Ezekiel 40-41 spends a lot of time describing the new temple the Jews would build. Much of Ezekiel up to that point is about the judgment Israel and other nations faced for their sins and rejection of God. But God already had a plan for the Jews’ restoration.
Around that same time, Jeremiah recorded these words from God: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
God does so much for our restoration. After all, look at Jesus’ death on the cross! Jesus paid the ultimate price to make restoration possible.
Have you come to God for ultimate restoration and salvation?
Is there any area of your relationship with God that’s broken and needs to be restored today? If so He’s got a plan!
