Faithfulness is powerful

The girls have really done a great job working hard and getting used to the new routine with school this year. I’m proud of them, but they definitely didn’t wake up right away when that alarm started going off the first few days of school.🤣 This is our first full week and the sleepiness is real! Day in, day out can be tough, but faithfulness pays off.

Daniel 6:3-4 says, “Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. 4 Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.”

Daniel served God faithfully in Israel and then in multiple kingdoms day after day. Changing circumstances didn’t change his faithfulness.

So when trouble came, he was ready to continue doing right. Daniel‬ ‭6‬:‭10‬ ‭says, “Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.” His life was on the line, and Daniel knew just what to keep doing.

These verses show us how to succeed during conflict and difficulty: Do right before the conflict comes and then simply stay faithful.

They also show us how to be ready to take a stand: kneel every day. And it’s about a heart posture more than a prayer posture.

Let’s stay faithful and let God bring the results. Oh and spoiler alert: God honored Daniel’s faithfulness and kept him safe, even in the lions’ den.
