Yes that’s our puppy drinking from a leak in our pool…that she probably caused!

Thankfully the hole is all patched up. I’ve learned over the years that there’s no sense in getting onto a dog for something that probably happened days or even months earlier (and it might not have been Cleo’s fault at all). 

It’s easy to be quick to blame and slow to give credit. Maybe we need to reverse that! 

Solomon did a great job of giving proper credit to God at the completion of the temple, a project he’d spent years and the equivalent of millions of dollars on. 

2 Chronicles 6:4 says, “And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, who hath with his hands fulfilled that which he spake with his mouth to my father David”

If we’re quick to take the credit it’s a good sign our focus is wrong.

If we’re quick to blame God or others, maybe we need to remember that it’s much better to look for ways we can grow and mistakes we can own up to than to look for excuses or ways others to blame.
