Camping under the stars and sky or time at the beach? We have a lot of great memories from both types of trips, and both are relaxing…and offer a great reminder of God’s power.
Psalms 33:6-8 says, “By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. 7 He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses. 8 Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.”
Every star and every wave can remind us that God is in control.
And if He can create the stars and control the waves, He can take care of us.
We could constantly stare up at the stars hoping they keep shining or nervously watch every wave hoping it doesn’t cause a flood. Or we can rest in the fact that God’s got everything under control. Stars do occasionally stop shining. Once in a while waves cause flooding. But even in those times, God is in control bringing good out of it all.
