Coaches can seem almost cruel as they make people endure such “torture,” but there are times we needlessly torture ourselves in far worse ways than exercise.
Psalms 51:1 says, “Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness:
according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.”
David had sinned in a big way somewhere around a year before this. The weight of his guilt must have been unbearable. He could have saved himself some misery by repenting of his sin much sooner, but how often do we do the same thing by not coming to God for forgiveness right away?
God forgave David and restored that wonderful, joyful relationship.
Even if you have a multitude of sins, God has a multitude mercies.
Have you come to Him for salvation?
If so, is there any sin you need to confess? It’s just not worth it to hold onto sin and guilt.
