So we were on the other side of the house and all of a sudden heard piano music.😳Turns out the cat is actually pretty good! I immediately thought of the Disney movie the Arisocats!
At first we had no clue what was going on or HOW the piano was playing!
Do you have the desire to live for God but no clue HOW to do it? Perfect! That’s a great place to start.
If you’ve never come to Jesus for salvation, that’s where it all starts. But even as Christians, we still can’t live for God on our own.
In Matthew 7:7-8, Jesus says, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
One commentator writes, “If we think that we can live out the teachings of the Sermon on the Mount by our own strength, we have failed to realize the supernatural character of the life to which the Savior calls us. The wisdom or power for such a life must be given to us from above.” And that’s true for following Jesus in general: we aren’t supposed to do it on our own.
It’s not about getting whatever we want. It’s about getting what we need to live the life we should live.
