Soon after we moved here 7 years ago, my dad and I set out to hike to that mountain…until we realized there were fences and private property all along the way. A couple friends have made it there (maybe without trespassing!😳). One thing’s for sure: Even a long journey up a mountain can be accomplished if we keep moving forward one step at a time.
Exodus 13:21 says, “And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:”
God clearly led Israel after they left Egypt. Their job was to follow, to take the next step one step at a time.
Exodus 14:15 says, “And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:” They needed to step forward even when the way wasn’t clear.
It’s been said that "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” If you’re allowing God to lead you, then don’t be afraid to take that first step or next step.
