That cutting board SEEMED strong enough to be put on the oven (to cook bread on), but it was NOT! When it started to bubble up and became bendable, it was a bad sign! Some things just aren’t strong enough to be counted on, but thankfully some are.

Well, Numbers 23:19 gives us a perfect reminder for when we find ourselves in an emergency or other tough spot: ‘God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”
God is strong. His promises for us are strong. He won’t change. Ever. We can count on Him today, tomorrow, and for all eternity if we’ve come to Him for salvation through His Son Jesus Christ.
