How good is your focus?

There’s one thing I’ve learned about juggling: You have to stay focused. If you think about something else, you’ll probably drop the balls. But if you stay focused, you can make it happen.

Matthew 6:22 says, “The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.”

If we stay focused, single minded, we will be able to see clearly. But if we have double vision that tries to look at God and other things with equal priority, things will fall apart.

Life gets busy. It gets hectic. We get pulled in a lot of different directions. But sometimes I think we try to focus on everything all at once and end up not really focusing properly on anything at all (at least I do, and maybe you can relate).

If you’re juggling, you have to focus on

catching the next ball. In life, since God is taking care of us, we are free to focus on our relationship with Him most of all.

So don’t constantly stress everything. Don’t try to figure it all out (constant temptation for me). Don’t try to juggle everything all by yourself. Instead of looking at everything going on and trying to fit God into your life, focus on Him as your top priority and work on seeing everything else through that lens.
