Help that isn’t a trick

Put the Rubik’s cube in the magic box…tap the lid 3 times…and voilà! It’s all back to perfect. Catch the video version of this devotional to see the trick in action.

Ever wish you could tap a lid, snap your fingers, or say abracadabra and change the problems in your life just like that? Thankfully God offers us hope even before everything is put back into perfect order.

Psalms 42:5 says, “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for us I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.”

That’s no trick. That’s just truth!

But one other truth for your day: Feeling sorry for ourselves only makes things worse.

When we feel sorry for ourselves, we make all of our problems seem bigger than they are and all of God’s solutions seem smaller than they are.

We don’t need a trick and we don’t need to petty ourselves. We need to look to God constantly for our help and hope.
