Thankfully I don’t always look that frazzled on the outside, but I’m sure we all feel that frazzled on the inside sometimes. Who/what do you turn to when you’re frantic, frazzled, or just plain stressed?
Isaiah 38:11 says, “I said, I shall not see the LORD, even the LORD, in the land of the living: I shall behold man no more with the inhabitants of the world.”
At this point, Hezekiah thought he was going to die. God graciously gave him 15 more years to live, but it’s interesting how Hezekiah said it when he though his life on earth was over: “I shall not see the LORD, even the LORD, in the land of the living.” For Hezekiah, living meant seeing God at work in his life! He wasn’t perfect, but he knew what mattered most, even when facing something big.
Hopefully we each have a lot longer to live on earth. Even better, hopefully each of us has trusted Jesus as our personal Savior and will see Him face to face after this life on earth is done. But do we take time to notice Him, to see Him at work now? And even to join Him in that work? It’s a lot easier to stay “unfrazzled” if we know God is with us.
It’s tragic when someone dies, but it’s also tragic when someone lives apart from their loving Creator! Whether you’re frantic, frazzled, or stress-free at the moment, turn to God. Take time to see Him at work in your life. He does some pretty amazing things.
