Did you hear what happened???

Thankfully Brooklyn wasn’t actually trying to whisper a secret in Addison’s ear…because she’s the loudest whisperer EVER!😳 Simple fun with my girls, but why is it easier for us to listen to the latest gossip than real truth? And why are we quicker to ask anyone else’s opinion than God’s?

Isaiah 30:1 says, “Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD,

that take counsel, but not of me;

and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:”

Verses 9-10 say, “That this is a rebellious people, lying children,

children that will not hear the law of the LORD: 10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:”

2 things it takes to hear the truth

  1. Go to the right source.

  1. Be willing to listen even if it’s not what we want to hear.

We live in a world with a lot of talking, but lots of it’s not worth listening to. Let’s always listen to God, God’s Word, and Godly advice even if it’s difficult to hear.
