You could try to saw with a drill or hammer with a brush. But things are designed for specific jobs. It’s often best to trust that the designer knew best how something should be used!
One of those times happens when we look at God’s design for each of our lives. Some people are empty and constantly searching for meaning and purpose simply because they aren’t trusting their designer’s plan. And I think God might be up in heaven, looking down at us and thinking something like, “Why are you trying to be a saw? I made you to be a drill” (silly example, but hopefully the point is clear).
Psalms 139:14 says, “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works;
and that my soul knoweth right well.”
You might not like everything about yourself (most people don’t!), but we can choose to use everything about ourselves to live out the purpose God has designed us for.
