Something’s not right!

Water, water everywhere! Fun thing to try: poke a few pinholes in a bottle of water and it won’t leak…as long as the lid stays on tight! The girls quickly noticed that we had a leaky, watery problem once the lid came off. It would be great if we’d all notice problems that quickly.

Isaiah 19:20 says, “And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt:

for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors,

and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.” God’s solution (Jesus) is amazing, but it’s even better if we turn to Him before oppression and problems come.

When we have a spiritual need, we all have 2 dangers we’ve got to watch out for: 1. Not recognizing our need. 2. Trying to get our ultimate needs met by someone or something other than Jesus.

Isaiah 43:11 says, “I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.” As soon as we put the lid back on that water bottle, the leaks stopped. As soon as we turn to Jesus, we’ll be facing a solution instead of a problem.
