Always a good day when you get to go to Cracker Barrel! We enjoy looking at the old-school signs, and these two really offered an interesting contrast in advertising techniques! On the one hand, we’ve got a genetic giant hybrids (whatever that means😳), and on the other, you have a simple encouragement to drink their soda because it’s good. I have no idea which sign was more affective back in the day, but I know it’s often the simple solution that is the best and sadly the most often overlooked in our lives.
Isaiah 26:13-14 says, “O LORD our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name. 14 They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise:
therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.” Hopefully you’ve never been trapped into actual idolatry, but we can all get trapped by giants of fear, depression, addiction, and maybe just plain sin. And all the while God and His Word the Bible offer the simple solutions. Simple but not easy. We face some God-sized problems, but thankfully we have a God-sized God! Ask Him to show you the solution to whatever problem you’re facing today, and dig into the Bible and let Him show you the answer.
