Easy to do…hard to undo!

I did this illustration in our teen VBS class tonight. I squeezed out some toothpaste and then challenged a teen to try to put it back in. She gave it a shot, but I think she agreed that it’s easier to get toothpaste out of a tube than it is to put it back in.

The same thing is true for our choices. It’s been said that “The choices you make make you.” Proverbs 14:29 says, “He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.” Have you ever said something unkind or just plain wrong and immediately wished you could take it back?

Ever make a decision and instantly regret it? Sometimes it take years to realize just how bad a wrong decision was…but the consequences always come. Instead of being hasty and quick to make choices, let’s take the time to ask God what He thinks we should say or do.
