Every Good Friday, I’m struck by the irony and awesome truth of the way we describe the day Jesus died for us. The worst day ever—the day the Creator of the world died for the sins of the world —made possible the greatest good any of us can ever experience: salvation, eternal life, a forever part in God’s family if we trust Him as our Savior.
Jesus took on all the wrong we’ve ever thought, said, or done so that we could be made right with God. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
Jesus took on the worst to offer us the best.
