Sometimes We Gotta Take a Better Look!

There’s a big difference between looking at a mirror with only a dim light on and looking a a mirror with the bright lights on. What’s best of all is to take a close look and then FIX any issues that the mirror shows.

James 1:22-25 says, “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”

Are we willing to take a good, close look at what the Bible says for our lives or just a quick glance? Are we willing to change what the Bible says we need to change? It would be bad to look at a mirror, notice something needed to be fixed, and then do nothing, but it’s way worse to look into the Bible, see something in our lives that needs changed, and then keep going the same wrong direction.
