Buc-ee’s! What a great place! It’s a gas station so big is has shopping carts (as well as yeti coolers, a huge snack selection, and some of the best barbecue sandwiches around)! We first went to a Buc-ee’s when we lived in Texas, and I’m glad to see them spreading to the East Coast! Buc-ee’s really is a gas station that offers you MORE.
Romans 8:32 says, “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” God gives us MORE! He already gave us the ultimate sacrifice when Jesus died on the cross for our sins. There’s nothing good He can’t give us, and there’s nothing He is unwilling to give His children if it’s for our good and His glory. It’s a wonderful truth that God
“daily loadeth us with benefits” as Psalm 68:19 says. He loves to give us MORE!
He never tells us no without a good reason reason. Anything that would distract us from God and draw us away from Him wouldn’t be a gift at all, so it’s actually more loving and kind and good to tell us no to those things (even when we can’t see all the reasons why He didn’t give us what we prayed for).
We should never treat God like He’s a vending machine or a magic genie, but we should be thankful for everything He gives us which is way MORE than we deserve!
