It’s mowing season…which means it’s also time to pick up any trash that sat there all winter. We mow the median in the middle of our road, and it accumulates a lot of trash. Sometimes I just try to ignore it and keep mowing…and end up spreading that trash all over the place. Much better to get rid of it!
Proverbs 25:4-5 says, “Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer. 5 Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be l established in righteousness.” The principle for purifying silver will work for you and me as well, and I may not be a king, but I want my life to be “established in righteousness.”
Phones have delete buttons, and TVs have off switches. Whether it’s entertainment, music, or just about anything else, God has great options available which is why Satan tries so hard to make sure there are bad options right in our faces all the time. If we’ve let some wrong stuff into our lives, it’s time to take out the trash!
