Our church recently played one of my favorite games: Where’s Waldo! We don’t look for Waldo in a book; we hide over a hundred Waldos all over the building and then give everyone a chance to find as many as they can. Always a lot of fun, but groups never find all of the Waldos. I came back to the church after the event to finish cleaning up and quickly found 4 of them…because I hid most of them! They were easy to find if you knew where to look!
The same can be said about God: He’s easy to find when we know where to look. Acts 17:27 says this about some people in Athens, “That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:” God has revealed His existence through creation all around us and has made His love, grace, and mercy clear through the Bible. He’s also made the plan of salvation clear through His Word. We know where to look to find Him, and if you’ve never accepted His offer of salvation through faith in His Son Jesus, please message me. I’d love to show you how you can do that today.
God has also made it easy for Christians to find His help and guidance. Proverbs 11:2 says, “When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.” If we wanna find Him, we have to be willing to humbly seek Him, not our own arrogant ideas.
God is a lot easier to find than Waldo. Will you look to Him today?
