Make It Rain!

As you can see, the girls share my love for science experiments! They even chose to buy that equipment with their own money and are excited about all the things we’ll get to try with it. After several tries (and failures), we were able to make it “rain” in this science experiment, but for real rain or real issues we better depend on God and his abilities not our own!

James 5:16-18 says, “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. 17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.” Prayer is powerful, and it’s amazing that God, the Creator of the universe, actually wants to hear from us!

Prayer works. In fact, it’s been said, “When we work, we work, but when we pray, God works.” Instead of trying to see how much we can do apart from God, let’s pray throughout each day and see how much God will do through us.
