No, that’s not another UFO (or an attempt to shoot one down!), but it is a fun birthday gift our girls got. As Brooklyn is showing, you jump on the end to push air through the tube and launch the rocket. A 45 degree angle usually launches it the farthest, but the best angle is also the one with a lot of power behind it!
1 Corinthians 12:14-18 says, “For the body is not one member, but many. 15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? 18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.”
The best “angle” or position to launch your influence and ministry is the one God has already given you. If you’re a nose, please stop trying to be a foot! We need your God-given nose abilities! I probably have way too much fun with this analogy, but the point is HUGE! Even if some people don’t like noses or fail to see their value, God gets it. He gets you. He values you and has jobs for you to do that others depend on.
Many of the most inspiring, encouraging people in my life have had “smaller” jobs or stayed behind the scenes being exactly who God made them to be…and impacting eternity every single day. And always remember: What position works best? The one with God’s power behind it. Noses, eyes, feet, and every other role have all made immeasurable differences. Are you willing to make a difference in the world today? God’s ready to give you every bit of power you need.
