Yes that is our puppy…in a highchair seat! Maybe we should’ve buckled her in and spoon-fed her some food! No matter what Brinkley might think, she makes a better dog than a child, and the secret to success in this life is to be who God made you to be.
Psalms 139:14 says, “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works;
and that my soul knoweth right well.” God created you the way you are on purpose. Allow Him to shape you into the best version of yourself and live out that purpose ON PURPOSE.
If you’re really social, help show God’s love to everyone you talk to.
If you keep more to yourself but quietly notice stuff around you, notice what people need and help meet those needs.
If you’re a leader, lead people toward God’s Word and God’s plan.
If you love encouraging people and seeing people happy, encourage them to find true joy in Jesus.
If you’re a thinker, think of ways to help people connect the real truth with their real lives.
My wife loves to be a blessing to people, and she often bakes goodies to give away. She did that the other day, and each muffin bag had the label “Thanks for being you.” It’s a simple yet powerful message: We all need you being who God made you to be. None of us are perfect. We’re all still growing and improving. As we walk this path of becoming more like Jesus, thanks for being you!
