It Only Takes One
We lit only that one match on the left, and it did the rest. The fire quickly spread for match to match… until it reached a gap. It took only one match to start the fire and only one match to stop it’s spread. In the same way, it often takes only one person to spread a bad influence or one person to take a stand and spread truth.
Proverbs 13:20 says, “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” I’ve love the quote, “Good friends, good future. Bad friends, bad future.” The influences (friends, music, TV, social media…) we allow into our lives have a huge impact on us. What “one match” in your life do you need to remove? What wrong influence do you need to step back from?
A good influence can be just as powerful as a bad influence. Will you be the “one match” that stops the spread of bad and protects the good? It only takes one, and you and I can be that one!
