We love our new puppy, and overall the dogs have done well getting to know each other peacefully. Saturday’s been rainy, and the dogs have been stuck inside a lot. Brinkley, the puppy, has used her puppy energy to antagonize our adult dog Bella. Bella’s done well but isn’t afraid to show her irritation (and her teeth occasionally) to try to get Brinkley to stop. Thankfully, most of the time Bella has just ignored Brinkley instead of letting her bother her. Little dogs and little issues can be ignored and don’t have to stop us.
The first part of Acts 20:24 says, “But none of these things move me.” The Apostle Paul was risking his freedom and his life to share the Gospel. Real threats and dangers were all around him, and yet he kept moving forward.
You might be thinking that those aren’t little things, but compared to the size of God, anything we face is nothing more than a little dog yipping at us. 2023 can’t throw anything at us that can stop us if we rely on God’s power. With Him behind us, we can ignore little problems and keep going. Happy New Year! Praying for a great 2023!
