As soon as Addison saw this on a TV show, she knew we needed to try it! And she was right! Very fun experiment, and I would say the skittles (left) worked better than the M&Ms (right). Just add a little hot water and watch the color spread!
We had a lot of fun watching those colors, and we should all look for opportunities to spread some good to everyone around us. 1 Timothy 6:17-18 says, “Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, and nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; 18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate.” The words distribute and communicate mean to share, to spread the good that God has blessed us with to those who don’t have as much (what a great way to communicate how much God loves them!). These verses talk about money, but the principle applies to anything we have that can bless someone else. Whether it’s time, talent, strength, money, or whatever God has given us, let’s enjoy it and let Him show us how to spread it to others as well.
When we give to God, God gives back to us. Luke 6:38 says, “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” What are you spreading that God can use to bless you and everyone around you in return? Let’s spread some good today!
