Never Throw Someone Under the Bus!!!

Thank you to our friend Amy for providing the bus for this picture (and for not actually running me over with it!😏). Hopefully you’d never throw someone under a bus physically, but it can be tempting to symbolically throw someone under the bus by blaming them for something that’s our responsibility.

When we sin, it’s easy to think, “The devil made me do it,” but Satan can’t make us do anything. In fact, a lot of the time, he isn’t even involved at all. James 1:14 says, “But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.” We sin because we want to, because we choose to, and if we choose to say no to sin, God will help us experience victory.

It’s also easy to blame God for the results of our bad choices. It’s been said that “You may choose your sin, but you cannot choose the consequences.” God loves to bless His followers but will never bless sin.

Instead of looking for someone to blame and “throw under the bus,” let’s make right choices that bring no regrets.
