It’s Empty!

I told the girls we’d work on this volcano project. We started it yesterday but it‘lol stay empty all day today. I’m sure we’ve all had people make empty promises to us, but thankfully that’s not the case here.   We have to let the “volcano” dry for a couple of days before we can paint it and make it erupt! As a Dad, I never want to make an “empty promise.”

Jesus always keeps His promises. One of the most important promises He ever made was that He’d rise again after He died on the cross for sins: “And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men: 23 And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again” (Matthew 17:22-23).

Today we celebrate an empty tomb, a risen Savior! The fact that the tomb is  empty proves that Jesus’ promises are not! Jesus’ tomb is empty and that should fill our lives with hope. As the song says, “Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.”
