Teaching and Learning

Brooklyn loves to learn…and teach! She uses these visuals in her kindergarten class, and she loves her A Beka video teacher Mrs. Turner and acts just like her every chance she gets.

Hebrews 5:12a says, “For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God.” We should always be going deeper, always learning more about our Savior and His Word, and we should also be eager to teach and influence others as well. We have an influence, either good or bad, on those around us every day already; we might as well make it a biblical influence!

They say the best way to learn something is to teach it to someone else. Try it. Be intentional about teaching someone what it means to have a relationship with Jesus and become more like Him…If you’re anything like me, you’ll learn a lot that you never knew you didn’t know.

So, what are you learning? What are you teaching? WHO are you teaching and influencing?

In 1 Corinthians 11:1, Paul gives the challenge to, “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.” If we’re going the right way, it’s good to have people follow us. But I’ve heard it said that if you are leading and no one is following you, you’re just taking a walk. We all have influence on others, but let’s intentionally seek out opportunities to lead people the right way, to help them learn more about our amazing Savior and grow more like Him.
