Who’s better at listening, men or women?

I think I agree with Jen: Women are usually better listeners than men.

Psalm 5:1-3 says, “Give ear to my words, O LORD, Consider my meditation. Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: For unto thee will I pray. My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; In the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.”

God is a great listener. In the next Psalm in the Bible, David says, “The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.” (Psalm 6:9)

But God never hears the prayers we don’t pray. Don’t get me wrong, He’s loving and gracious and merciful enough to still give us many good things even when we don’t pray. But sometimes I think we wonder why it seems like God isn’t hearing our prayers and it’s that we aren’t committed to praying every day like David did.

God knows our heart, but He also wants to hear our voice. And what a privilege to be able to talk to the Creator of the universe and know that He wants to hear from us!
