We had a great quick trip down to Virginia this weekend, and as it often does on I-81, the traffic got a little backed up…for no apparent reason.
We all slowed down then sped up. Repeatedly. We were all part of the problem, but I don’t think any of us knew what was going on.
It’s sad when life goes that way. Much better for us to live deliberately, intentionally, on purpose.
Ephesians 5:8-10 tells us how to do that: “For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: 9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.”
If we have trusted Jesus as our Savior, we have God living in is, showing us the light and the way we should go. We need to take the time to test choices and influence and decisions, to prove whether they’re acceptable to God or not.
1 Corinthians 10:31 says, “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” Let’s deliberately make every area of our lives about God instead of drifting aimlessly through each day.
