The girls always enjoy climbing on “snow mountains” when a parking lot gets plowed. It wasn’t a huge snow this time, but the church parking lot did have some good piles to play on. They tried to knock me off a couple times, but they failed! Good times in the snow!
Life’s not all mountain-tops. Sometimes God delivers us out of a bad situation; other times, He offers amazing help right there in the situation.
Psalm 3:3-5 says, “But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; My glory, and the lifter up of mine head. I cried unto the LORD with my voice, And he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah. I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.”
God is a shield to protect us in the trouble. Nothing can get to us without God’s permission.
He’s the “lifter up of mine head” to give us peace and a hope that raises our spirit above the trouble even before we are literally out of the situation.
And with God’s help we can rise above situations. We can be an encourager who makes bad situation better.
