I gotta admit I agree with Jen‘s excitement over this Christmas gift. I knew when Brooklyn picked it out that it had lights in the glass, but I didn’t know they only turn on when a flame gets near them! If the flame goes out, the light goes out.
John 1:6-9 says, “There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.”
John the Baptist did a great job of pointing people to Jesus. His faith in the Savior showed up and lit the way.
Our relationship with Jesus should be showing all over our lives as well. People should be able to easily tell that we’re Christians and that we love our Savior and live for Him.

Usually it isn’t that dramatic, but it can always be that powerful.
