Since tomorrow’s a half day at school and then Christmas break, a lot of students (and teachers) are no doubt looking forward to celebrating with empty hallways and some time off. Hopefully we’re all remembering the reason for the season, and there’s so much there to remember as we celebrate Jesus’ birth.
Hebrews 9:27-28 says, “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”
We should remember that Jesus came.
We should remember why He came.
And we should remember that He’s coming again.
His birth should give us peace that He can relate to human struggles. His death and resurrection give us the hope of eternal salvation. And His imminent return should motivate us.
