Have you ever noticed that even animals respond to our tone? They might not understand most of the words we say, but they can immediately tell whether we’re excited, angry, or whatever.
Proverbs 15:1 says, “A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.”
We should speak kindly to our pets, and we should definitely speak kindly to the people in our lives. How we say things is often just as important as what we say.
